ANTON ALUJA OLESTI
Anton Aluja is a Barcelona-based architect and the Director of Innovation at TdB Architects. The firm has developed numerous projects in Barcelona, blending tradition with innovation seamlessly.
Alongside his professional practice, Anton is also a Design Studio professor at the university, where he
brings a hands-on approach to teaching. Far from being just a theorist, his work focuses on delivering practical, tangible solutions for the studio’s diverse projects and designs.
Throughout his career, Anton has contributed to a range of notable projects, including the Museum in Málaga, the Palace of Congresses in Alicante, the Audiovisual Hub in Barcelona, the corporate headquarters in Madrid, and the Auditorium-Music School, among others.
In parallel, he coordinates Winnersdaily, a platform dedicated to promoting design excellence and architectural quality, serving as a practical reference for professionals in the field.
He told us: “Barcelona’s creativity lies in its unique ability to merge the old with the new, where tradition meets cutting-edge innovation. The city’s rich cultural heritage is reflected in its architecture, art, and urban spaces, creating an environment that constantly inspires creative minds. This vibrant backdrop, combined with a community that values forward-thinking ideas, makes Barcelona a fertile ground for new concepts to flourish.
What excites me most about speaking at Blend 2024 is the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and share ideas in such a dynamic city. It’s a chance to contribute to the dialogue on creativity and innovation, and to explore how we can continue pushing boundaries in our respective fields while drawing inspiration from Barcelona’s creative pulse.”
